Khilesh

Khilesh

Khilesh Chaturvedi is a freelance Advisor to Civil Society Organizations working for the rights of the marginalized. He is an Evaluator and Trainer. His training work is on Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (PME) of projects and programs, Community Managed/led Development, Training of Trainers and Training of Facilitators. After completing his Master degree in Social work in 1988 from Agra University in India, he has been working for last 32 years in the Civil Society sector with grassroots, intermediary and international organizations and for last 26 years as an evaluator and trainer. His core experience is in designing and conducting customized evaluations and process-oriented training processes. He has worked on short assignments in all parts of India, in South Asia, some South East Asian countries, English speaking Africa and in the Netherlands. He also conducts evaluations of projects, programs and organizations. He has, inter alia, conducted assignments like the Institutional / capacity assessment of International and national organizations like CIVICUS based in South Africa, International Dalit Solidarity Network (IDSN), Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) and Equitable Tourism Solutions (EQUATIONS) in India.

Baljeet

A passionate believer in the power of education, Baljeet Yadav co-founded
Varitra Foundation, an NGO to transform rural education system with an aim to
provide quality education access to all children. He has done his masters from TISS Mumbai and B.Sc from Hansraj College, Delhi University. Baljeet has more than 8 years of experience in
conceptualizing & implementing education, youth development and
women empowerment projects. He has worked on framing CSR
policies, executing development projects, Monitoring & Evaluation of
NGO projects, curriculum development, teachers’ training and human
resource management.

Caroline

Caroline

A firm believer in ‘it takes a village to raise a child’, Caroline has been working in the development sector (education) for the last twenty years. Through the ‘Whole Child Approach’, her work involves focusing on ‘Educator Support’, ‘Social Emotional Development & Learning’, ‘Strengthening Parent Partnerships’ and increased ‘Community Engagement’.

Her work in the development sector has involved leading teams of counselors, social workers and supporting school leaders to build schools that have the child at the centre. As a Leadership Coach, Caroline’s work has involved training various level of educational leaders and also aspiring school leaders.

Caroline’s approach involves keeping the children and communities at the centre and working with stakeholders who are directly or indirectly connected with them.

Som

Somsuvra is an engineering graduate from Jadavpur University and started his career in the industrial construction sector. After working in greenfield projects with the Tata group for almost 4 years, he joined the Teach For India Fellowship in 2015. Somsuvra taught Math to 8th, 9th and 10th grade during his Fellowship.

Post his Fellowship, he lead the operations and applicant engagement with the National Selection Team of Teach For India for two years.

Somsuvra joined The Akanksha Foundation in 2019 at Pune. He lead the operations for Pune, managing procurement, government relations and general operations for 11 schools.

In August 2021, Somsuvra moved to Nagpur to start Akanksha’s third city with 6 schools and is presently leading the program strategy and operations, outreach, and government relations in Nagpur.
